How I handle your enquiry, what this website stores and which rights you have.

In short

  • Nothing is stored in your browser unless you say yes or pick a light/dark theme.
  • Your enquiry is only used to reply to you and handle your request.
  • Your details are never sold or used for advertising.

Who is responsible

The controller of personal data on this website is Péter Ruszinkovics. Address: Sneeuwbalstraat 73, 6543 TP Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Contact: [email protected].

What I collect and why

Contact and quote forms

The forms collect what you choose to send: your name, email address, business name, current website, project description and the website options you select. Name and email are needed so I can reply; everything else is optional.

When you send a form, your request is e-mailed to my mailbox and you get one automatic confirmation e-mail. Nothing you typed is copied into that confirmation except your first name, and at most one is sent to an address per day.

To keep spam out, the forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that loads from Cloudflare only once you start filling in a form. Most visitors see nothing; now and then it asks you to tick a box. To tell people from bots it reads technical details such as your IP address and browser; according to Cloudflare these are used only for this check. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of spam (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) for quote requests, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)) for general messages.

Running the website

Like any website, the hosting provider processes technical request data such as IP address, browser type and time of request to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Fonts and all page files are served from this website itself. No requests go to Google Fonts or other third parties when a page loads.

When you open the gift at the bottom of a page, the website adds one to an anonymous total for that day. No cookie is set and no IP address or anything else about you is stored, only the day’s total.

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

Cookies, storage and analytics

By default, nothing about you is stored and no analytics run. This website sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage unless you accept analytics or press the light/dark switch.

When you first arrive, a small banner with a little cookie asks whether you accept analytics. If you choose No thanks or ignore it, nothing is saved and no analytics code loads. The banner is only shown on the first page of a visit, so it won’t follow you around.

If you choose Accept:

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics loads. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you; it counts page views, referring sites, country and device type in aggregate. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • One item is saved in your browser’s local storage: pcf-consent-v1 = granted, so the website remembers your choice. It stays until you withdraw consent or clear your browser data.

You can change your mind at any time: and choose Turn it off. The stored choice is deleted and analytics stops.

Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are treated as having said no.

If you press the light/dark switch in the menu, one item is saved in your browser’s local storage: pc-theme = dark or light, so the next pages open in the colours you picked. It is only a display setting: nothing is sent anywhere and it is not linked to you. Clear your browser data to remove it. If you don’t press it, the website simply follows your device’s light or dark setting.

Who receives it

Your enquiry is handled by me. Service providers that process data on my behalf:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, the form endpoint, the spam check on the forms (Turnstile) and storage of form submissions, and Web Analytics if you accept it.
  • Zoho Corporation (Zoho Mail, data centre in the EU): my email provider. Form requests and the automatic confirmation are sent through it, and I reply to you from it.

Cloudflare is a US company. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

I don’t sell personal information or use enquiry details for advertising.

How long I keep it

Form submissions stored by this website expire automatically after 12 months. Information that becomes part of a project, invoice or accounting record is kept as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. Email [email protected] and I’ll respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work, or where you think the problem happened. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
